The 41st Annual Kolache Festival is returning to Historic Downtown Caldwell on Saturday, September 12th! Each year, this beloved community tradition brings thousands of visitors to the Kolache Capital of Texas for a full day celebrating Caldwell’s Czech heritage, local community, and, of course, plenty of kolaches.

For more than four decades, the Kolache Festival has filled the streets of Downtown Caldwell with food, music, entertainment, and traditions for all ages. Visitors can enjoy authentic Czech foods, live music and polka, cultural performances, and festival favorites like the kolache baking and eating contests and the annual 5K.
Throughout the day, vendors will line the streets with arts, crafts, quilts, local goods, food, and more. Festivalgoers can also explore displays and exhibits, including antique tractors and classic cars, while younger visitors can enjoy activities and entertainment designed just for them.
Whether you make the trip every year or you’re experiencing the Kolache Festival for the first time, it’s a great opportunity to spend the day in Caldwell and experience a tradition that has been part of our community for more than 40 years.
