From all of us here at Armstrong Properties, we want to wish our community a very happy 4th of July! This holiday is not only a time to celebrate our freedom as a Nation and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us to enjoy this day, but it brings our community together. We have a handful of local options this year for you and your family to enjoy fireworks and celebrate together all weekend:
Saturday, July 3rd:
College Station: I Love America Celebration
Fee: Free
Come out for the 61st annual I love America Celebration at Wolf Pen Creek Park. To start off the day, the Salvation Army will be running a donation drive from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Senior Center in the park. Then from 2:00 – 10:00 pm the park will be filled with tons of food trucks, vendors and performers. Bring the family out at 7:00 pm to see the movie “Miracle” followed by a laser light show at 9:30 pm.
Caldwell: Elizabeth Lutheran Church Fee: Free
Come out and enjoy the largest firework display in the Brazos Valley! Park your car at the Church, Caldwell High School or Intermediate School and enjoy the show from your vehicle.
Hearne: Friends of the Wheelock School House
Fee: $15 Donation
Parade: 10:00 am | BBQ: After the Parade until 1:00 pm
Come out to celebrate the 27th annual Independence Day BBQ & Parade. Decorate your bikes, riding lawnmowers, wagons, trucks, tractors, classic cars, motorcycles, or whatever else you have and come out to join the parade and stick around for the BBQ.
Sunday, July 4th:
College Station: Drive-In at the Texas A&M Rellis Campus Fee: Free
The community is invited to come park out at the Rellis Campus and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display from the comfort of their cars. Parking will open at 6:30 pm and the fireworks will begin at 9:00 pm
Somerville: Welch Park at Lake Somerville
Fee: $3 per person
Bring the family to Welch Park for an evening at the lake to watch the fireworks! The park is open from 6:00 – 10:00 pm and fireworks will begin when it gets dark outside.
Kurten: 18th Annual 4th of July Firework Show & Fundraiser
Fee: Free
Celebrate the 4th of July with the Brazos County District 2 Volunteer Fire Department. Bring your family and friends out for an evening of food trucks, music, gun raffles, fireworks and more at 5:00 pm!
Virtual Options: Not able to attend the fireworks in person this year? CW8 will be broadcasting the Rellis Campus firework display for everyone to watch. This firework show will begin at 9:00 pm.
